What is +Vantage Vinyl Verification?
“The Vinyl Sustainability Council created +Vantage Vinyl™ as a voluntary initiative to advance the U.S. vinyl industry’s contribution to sustainable development,” according to the organization’s website.
Member companies undergo yearly third-party audits by GreenCircle Certified, LLC to ensure that they meet the criteria to remain verified.
Member companies commit to aligning with voluntary sustainability targets in three impact categories:
- Resource Efficiency: including diverting materials from landfills for repurpose, recycled feedstock, and reuse
- Emissions: including setting continuous improvement goals, reporting data, and recognizing sustainable practices to mitigate emissions.
- People & Community: including identifying best practices for occupational safety and safe use of products by customers.

The Vinyl Sustainability Council (VSC) is a voluntary membership organization, open to any company in the vinyl / PVC value chain: resin, compound and additive, manufacturers, extruders, recyclers, equipment manufacturers, distributors and retailers.
